Sergeant Dominic Messina worked in the Army as an Occupational Therapist for six years and was awarded the meritorious Service Medal for his dedicated service. After his discharge, Dominic worked in banking and finance and eventually earned an MBA
In 2009, Dominic was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer that has been successfully treated three times, defying all odds. Because of the cancer treatments, a career in finance was no longer viable for him, and he turned instead to his creative side by fashioning various crafts and delighting in the joy he's able to bring to his friends and customers. Dominic and his wife, Cheryl, live in Cedar Rapids IA.
